3. Medicare
If you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP), you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for up to five sessions per calendar year. A referral from your GP is required, and we’ll need a copy of the plan before sessions can be invoiced under this arrangement. Payment of the full session fee is required on the day, you can then claim the rebate directly from Medicare using the receipt provided.

4. Workers Compensation
Speech pathology services are available under WorkCover for clients who have sustained a work-related injury and have received appropriate approval. A referral from your GP or treating specialist is required, along with prior authorisation from your insurer or case manager.
Once approved, services are generally paid directly by the insurer, meaning there are usually no out-of-pocket costs for clients. WorkCover fees are aligned with the standard private fee schedule.

5. Health Insurance
If you have private health cover that includes speech pathology, you may be able to claim a rebate for your sessions. Fees are aligned with the standard private fee schedule. The rebate amount will depend on your level of cover and your individual policy. Clients are required to pay the full session fee on the day, and can then submit their receipt directly to their health fund to receive any eligible rebate. It is your responsibility to confirm your rebate entitlements with your insurer.
